Our areas of work
TEYAPI4Peace enables the poorest people in Teso (OVCs, Children, Women, Farmers and Youth) to gain access to education, food production, vocational and digital skills, health services, clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene, allowing them to unlock their potential.
We have a unique approach to solving community development challenges in Teso.
We have field staff around Teso who, together with local government structures, help communities in Teso access education, agricultural inputs and skills, vocational and digital skills training, health services, clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene.
We only use participatory and practical approaches to reach the community and beneficiaries to make sure the right skills exist locally so that households, communities and service providers can keep services working long into the future after we close our projects.
By working with local communities, local & national government and beneficiaries we’re able to deliver lasting change and empower the communities. By investing locally, we know that communities can continue the good work even after we’re gone.
However, the sheer scale of the challenges affecting Teso and rural Uganda means that we can’t solve it alone. So we work with communities, local and national governments and our financial supporters to provider services to prioritized areas; education, food and nutritional security, vocational and digital skills, health services, clean water and toilets in their communities.
